SUNDAY 29th Aug Launch of “Operation Christmas Child 2010”
This is the day we will launch this wonderful mission to children. By stocking these shoe boxes with the things that will bring the message of love to them we will also be sending them with prayer that the Spirit of God will be able to reach out through the gifts to show them the love of Jesus in their lives. Please pray and determine how many shoeboxes you will be able to stock this year.

This will be an opportunity for the men to go out to dinner together at Fresh Chilli Thai Restaurant in Aviation Road, Laverton at 6.30pm.
The cost will be about $25-$27 for a wonderful meal (based on a set menu).
This will be a night to just relax and enjoy each other’s company.

Please join us after the morning service for a special Picnic Lunch at the newly completed Trafalgar Park here at the Altona Meadows Community Centre. This is a time for us to get together with friends and enjoy each other’s company in a beautiful local park. Please bring a plate of food to share

This year the CRC National Conference in Adelaide will be a people’s Convention. Our National Conferences are usually open to all Pastors and Leaders but this Convention is open to all people in CRC Chruches across the world. Brochures are available detailing the Convention together with its costs so if you are interested in being part of the Convention, please see Ps. Stephen as soon as possible.

We are pleased to have Louise Hirsch (from Celebrate Messiah) ministering to the ladies this evening. Louis and her husband Lawrence lead Celebrate Messiah) which is a ministry to Jewish people to introduce them to The Messiah (Jesus Christ) as the Son of God and Lord and Saviour.

SUNDAY 10th Oct Visiting Ministry – Barry Buirski (Celebrate Messiah)
Barry was born in Cape Town, South Africa. Barry is the youngest of 17 children and was brought up in a non-observant Jewish home. In January 1985 Barry was born again and he immediately began an evangelistic ministry moving to Israel to preach there. He has been giving out the Gospel with joy and sincerity ever since. In November 1998, he and his family emigrated from South Africa to Australia where Barry served as a development representative with the ministry of Open Doors with Brother Andrew and thereafter was invited to serve in Jewish evangelism. Barry has been serving with Celebrate Messiah Australia as an outreach worker since 2001. His ministry in Melbourne includes meeting with Jewish enquirers and teaching them about Messiah.

This is a very special weekend camp for ladies (16 years and over) and the venue is Phillips Island.
The cost is yet to be finalized but will be $50 each (plus a little extra for lunch on Saturday) and includes accommodation and meals.
This is a camp you don’t want to miss and numbers will be limited.

This is a special Sunday set aside for the Youth Group to both plan and serve us in music, drama, dance and preaching. This is a special Sunday not to be missed.
SUNDAY 24th Oct Pedals on the Path Event
The 2010 Pedals on the Path event will be held after Church on Sunday 10th October.
This year it will again include a 10 or 22km Bike event but will also include a 10km FunRun or a 6Km Family Walk if that is more to your liking.
We will be starting at noon with a BBQ lunch in which a number of other Churches will be joining
us at Cresser Reserve in Altona (Melway Ref: 55 A11).
We are raising money for a Western Suburbs Youth Charity called “Second Chances” so please take this opportunity to ask friends, family and workmates to sponsor you on this “Bikeathon-Runathon-Walkathon” and invite your friends to be involved.
